The UC Berkeley School of Information's Master of Information and Data Science (MIDS) is a web-based program featuring immersive coursework and live, online classes you can attend from anywhere in the world. Delivered on a state-of-the-art learning platform, datascience@berkeley facilitates collaboration and discussion to help you build a professional network of faculty and peers from the start.

Students can access all datascience@berkeley content 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

datascience@berkeley's advanced mobile application gives students access to our online learning technology from their iPhone, iPad, or Android smartphone or tablet. With the MIDS mobile app, students can:

  • Communicate seamlessly with instructors and other students
  • View course materials and videos while online and offline
  • Upload pictures and check in with classmates and study groups
  • Submit assignments and projects from anywhere
  • Keep track of upcoming due dates and events

Mobile Offline Mode

Students can access their coursework from anywhere, at any time with the Mobile Offline Mode incorporated in the MIDS mobile application. This innovative feature lets students download assignments and projects to their devices, and if necessary, they can complete them without an Internet connection.
