The UC Berkeley School of Information (I School) can create customized recruiting plans in order for companies and organizations to develop professional relationships with our students and alumni.

The following are common ways to connect with the I School network of professionals:

Job or Internship Posting

Email a job listing to Career Services, and it will be shared to all of the I School’s students and alumni.

“Tech Talk” Webinars or Informational Sessions

Share information about your organization through a webinar presentation on your company, and explain how you use data science. This helps students visualize what it would be like to work at your company, allowing them to determine if it would be a good fit based on their interests, personality, and professional strengths.

Meet and Greet Sessions

The I School can work with your organization to set up a virtual or in-person meet and greet session. These are informal sessions where you can talk with students about their skills and interests as well as share opportunities that exist at your company.

Networking Events

The I School hosts a variety of networking events throughout the year, connecting employers and students in an informal setting. Speak with students directly about their interests and skills, and introduce your organization to a diverse group of students.

Panel Discussions

Meet students by having a member of your organization participate in an I School career panel, which are held both virtually and on campus. During these panels, students learn more about different career paths.
